Return to South Pass City

Caroline Lockhart Room, Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel, Cody, Wyom, ing.

Our room (number 37) in the Irma Hotel had two beds in semi-separate rooms. The photograph was taken from the "front" sleeping area, with direct access to the room door. The door to the right leads into the haunted bathroom. Very nicely furnished with antique items.

We got up this morning and had breakfast at the hotel. Then we loaded up on coffee and headed back to South Pass City.

There was a lot of activity, road construction and mowing, along the way back, so we saw fewer animals than on our way to Cody. Altogether, we saw about 26 pronghorn antelope. There may have been more around, but most of those we saw were lying down, which makes it easy to miss them. We saw seven turkey in a pasture near Meeteetse, and one mule deer.

We drove into Lander for groceries and then headed to South Pass City.

Once back at the trailer, we had lunch and then did a bit of meal prepping for lunches. Later, I cooked a chicken tortilla soup, which will last for a few days.

I read a bit and then went to bed a little early, as I had not slept well the past couple of nights. Ghosts? Who knows?
