The Case of the Missing Purse

Interior of our trailer, in the evening

I took a photo of the interior of our trailer as evening was coming on. We have an Escape 19, fiberglass trailer. I took the picture from the bed. Connie is at the dinette, around the corner and hidden from sight.

Yesterday after we got back from the Red Desert, Connie discovered that her purse was missing. Maybe, it was in Glen's truck. During yesterday's expedition, Glen mentioned that his wife wanted to invite us to dinner before we left town- she comes to South Pass City with Glen when he gives his English Tunnel tours, so we have spoken with her on several occasions. So, by chance, we had asked for their number so that we could arrange this.

We called Jeannie, Glen's wife, and they had found the purse, so the case was solved.

It rained a bit this morning, but the rest of the day was quite nice. We got up, had coffee and breakfast and drove out to Lander to pick the purse up They offered us a cup of coffee, heck yes, and we visited for about an hour. We then left and went to the Safeway to buy a few items and then returned home.

Connie did laundry and I smoked some hamburgers, as usual, for lunches. Other than that, it was a rest day with reading and writing predominating. After dinner, I did some work on one of my ghost stories for this Friday. I had thought it was Saturday. Whoops.

The weather app predicted an evening rain. We had several minutes of thunder, some lightning, and then the clouds delivered. We got a fairly heavy rain. I always love to hear it rain, especially in the trailer!

A water tank stand on the Brannan Ranch that was used as a nesting site by crows, Great Divide Basin, Wyoming

A crow's nest built inside a water tank stand. Pretty ingenious.

This photograph is left over from yesterday at the Brannan Ranch. The structure presumably held a water tank, but crows put it to good use, building a nest in it over a several year period.

Tomorrow we get to go to Rock Springs!
