Laundry on a Thursday?
We had been traveling the past few days and life caught up with us. Today is laundry day. Connie handles that chore and I do most of the meal prep and cooking.
We had breakfast and I went down to the archives to write and research and get out of the way.
I worked all morning in the archives- just using them for a quiet workspace in which I could spread out. I went back to the trailer for lunch and visited a bit with Connie and replaced a blown fuse, which made Connie happy! She wasn't finished with laundry and drying clothes, etc., so I went back to the archives.
This was a great day! I got caught up on a couple of my projects and finally have begun posting short pieces about Walter Lovejoy, who I have been studying- I have found the voice I want to use. Also, I have found, I think, a way to create maps that help show his travels.
I returned to the trailer and Connie and I prepared green chili frittatas for work week breakfasts. I smoked them- our oven- and they smell incredible!
After that, well, it is Taco Thursday at the Miner's Grubstake, so....
We had dinner and a couple of glasses of wine (me) and returned to South Pass City. We saw one mule deer coming back. See above.
